Our treatments always take into account your emotional as well as physical wellbeing. As sportspersons, we have also been in your position after injury, facing periods of inaction and losing motivation, so we want to help you keep upbeat and enable you to take an active role in your recovery.
Massage therapy is beneficial to help boost your mood and help treat acute and chronic injuries. Massage therapy is a smooth and relaxing remedy to help reduce pain, bruising and increase blood supply in an injured area. Sports massage can be effective to help reset your body to feel re-energised for any upcoming activities you may face.
This is specific to the injury and helps mobilise and repair the injured area.
Back problems often benefit from this type of remedy.
The procedure is often used to measure progress such as to see how well a range of motion has increased following other treatments, which is motivating.
Taping provides stability and reassurance during recovery and when you're fit to return to your sports (Hooray!).
Ben is the founder of Pearson Physical Therapy and has suffered more than his share of injuries, so he knows what you're going through. His latest fiasco was an injury during a football match when he injured his knee and had to undergo 2 surgeries and it left him side-lined for over a year. During that time, lockdown also kicked in and he needed to dig deep to keep himself fit and active without damaging the repaired knee. Give him a call if you need to be encouraged and motivated during your downtime - he's a friendly and approachable professional!
